The TLDR version of my experience with Jason Piper and Build Better Sleep is that through working with him and putting his plan in action, my REM sleep went from averaging less than 30 minutes per night to an average of over 2 hours in just two weeks time. A 400% improvement in what I asked his help addressing.
The longer version is that I’ve never been great at sleep. That’s a weird thing to say because I kind of just assumed sleep came naturally and your body just did what it needed to do. I had 7 sleep studies, a deviated septum repair, a CPAP and multiple other things done to improve my sleep. I had taken all the leading supplements to sleep better but nothing worked all that well. My already not great sleep went to absolute garbage once quarantine’s happened with the recent pandemic. I went through my usual checklist to resolve it, less alcohol, more water, better food, more exercise, more time in bed, etc. Nothing worked. I was starting to have hallucinations and no ability to store memories long term.
I had my guard up a little bit as I’d worked with sleep consultants before and figured I’d get the same canned garbage that hadn’t worked. The questions he asked started similar but each one was taken in a new direction based on my answers. It was a real conversation with real specific advise for me and my issue. He didn’t just go down a checklist. He listened and then provided me with assignments to fix the issue. It worked so well it is simply remarkable.
